Our Distinguished Guests of Honor: Patricia & Rudy Gromosaik
This husband & wife team has provided outstanding leadership as Officers of the St. Mary's Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for many years.
Rudy & Pat devote long hours along with over 90 dedicated volunteers to find enough monetary gifts and household supplies to bring caring compassionate comfort on a person-to person basis to the needy and suffering of our area.
It is a constant challenge to keep the pantry in Reinbold Hall stocked to meet the needs of over 7,000 visitors annually. Last year alone the volunteers made 240 home visits to assess needs. The group then distributed $99,000 to help 370 families cope with the basic needs identified.
The current economic climate is especially difficult for this type of charitable work, yet the St. Vincent de Paul people carry it on with dignity and grace that befits their deep faith and true concern for others.
We admire and applaud their untiring efforts and wish them good health and strength of purpose as they continue to enlighten us all as to what "Love Thy Neighbor" is all about.
The Father Duffy Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will make a presentation to encourage and support the benevolent work of the St. Mary's Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Tickets $25.00 a person
